Today we had our tour of Ljubljana, Slovenia. It's a small city center but our guide took us on a 3 hour tour to see many of the highlights. You have to be careful to stay out of the bike lane or you may get run over. Our guide said that it was like a little Amsterdam in that respect. The way she described the town was "If Vienna and Prague had a baby it would be Ljubljana and she would have an Italian lover hiding in the closet". :)
I would say they were pretty friendly :) This was for a golf cart that gave free rides to different parts of the center as needed.
This is the Franciscan church.
This statue is of the famous poet (and lawyer). He wrote the national anthem.
The funicular up to the castle (that was not so impressive but had a good view of below).
Panoramic (tiny here) of the view of below.
Inside the cathedral.
Interesting Stations of the cross.
A more modern bridge where people have "locked their love and thrown away the key" (a thing in Europeon cities- not this town specific).
Hey! Look what I found- my class mascot (no idea why it's here).
Yummy way to end the day- Bosnian food.
