Spent the day exploring Acadia National Park. Did the loop around and stopped at lots spots. Did lots of stops for a little time each versus a couple spots for a long time. Wanted to see as much as we could in our short time. We had only 1 day to see it. Gorgeous sights at every turn. It had everything- ocean views, rocks to climb on and woods to explore. Highly recommend- although this time of year was SUPER busy. Using our park and go method was tricky at times because parking was often full and overflowing into the road. We were there from about 8am to 1:30 or so. Then we headed back to downtown Bar Harbor but it too was jam packed so we decided to drop of the car at the hotel and take the shuttle back downtown. We did some retail therapy and had an early yummy dinner on the water. Then we lingered around on the beach waiting for low tide so we could walk on the bar. At low tide the bar appears and connects the mainland to the island. Then we had to trek the mile to the hotel because the last shuttle had already run.
So many pics of the beauty of the park…here’s just a few.
