All aboard for a day in New Hampshire….
For our only full day in New Hampshire we had a full schedule. The flume gorge wasn’t open early enough for us so instead we went to see the basin in the state park- a creation of nature where rushing water has chisheled away at rock. It was a nice little hike, though my ankle might not agree 😬 Then we headed to the loon resort and took a gondola to the Loon Peak. Beautiful views all around. Green covered mountains in every direction. We took a little hike around and then half the group decided to walk down and the other half stayed and enjoyed the views before riding the gondola back down. The last thing of the day was a cog wheel train up Mt. Washington. The fog hindered some views and the cold drizzle didn’t help. Luckily I had my raincoat and I found a chair and sat outside. It was quite peaceful.
