Party of 6…..your plane is ready!

Yeah!! I get to travel again! The only downside was that I had to be at my friends by 5am so we could carpool. That meant waking up at about 4:15am πŸ™„ The plane ride was uneventful (wouldn’t have minded some sleep but unfortunately I’m not one of those lucky people who can nap anywhere they are). As much as I don’t like getting up early, it was good because we lose an hour traveling. That way we still had a decent amount of exploring time. Quick flight and we landed in Boston.  Picked up our car (lucky to get a big enough one for all 6 of us and our luggage in the shortage that’s going on). πŸ™ŒπŸ» With Julie behind the wheel of Yolanda the Yukon we were off (once she figured out how to put it in drive😜)

On the the docket for today was Plymouth- my suggestion.  For so many years I’ve talked to my kiddos about it I was excited to see the recreation myself. We started by having lunch in downtown Plymouth. Then we walked to see the rock (not Dwayne Johnson- the Plymouth Rock😜) There were a few other things to see and then we headed to Plimoth Patuxet Museum. There we saw a Native American house and someone talked to use about how they created their boats using fire to hollow them out. Then we headed to the 17th century village and saw recreations of different houses. It made my day to see and touch what I’ve seen for years in a book I used to read to my students (not much time for that these days with all the other requires things 😒) By the soreness of my feet, I’d say it was a busy day! Looking forward to some sleep and exploring Martha’s Vineyard tomorrow. Let’s hope riding a bike is really like riding a bike since I will be riding one tomorrow for the first time in like 25 years. Stay tuned for that adventure….
