Great first day in Dubrovnik.  Went into the city center for a tour with a guide.  It was a lot more crowded with tourists than I would have thought.  A big cruise ship full of people came off for a day trip, so that added to the conjestion.  Between earthquakes and war there was much damage to the buildings of old, but still plenty to see.  Even though Im not a game of thrones watcher- apprarently I sat in a chair from there ? For lunch, I was adventurous.  Being a picky eater, that happens on trips when there aren't any of my regular meals on the menu.  So today I had......wait for it......octopus salad with potatoes (a cold salad).  I wasn't shouting alleluias from the rooftop but it wasn't bad (the yummy chocolate gelato later was the better meal  :)  To end the day a few friends and I took a dip in the Adriatic Sea it was 'take your breath away' cold but it helped to cool off after a hot and sweaty day.  Went in for a few dips but didn't master keeping the mouth closed to keep out the salt water.  Oh well.  Hopefully tomorrow there will be time for another chilly dip!
