Today was mostly a travel day. The long drive was broken up a bit by a bathroom & wandering spot in Mancha- think Don Quixote. We also stopped at a great rest stop for lunch. Then we arrived in Granada. We checked into our cute hotel and got a brief orientation walk from our guide. Then we headed to the royal chapel where King Ferdinand and Queen Isabel are buried. It was picture worthy but I was not worthy of taking them (no photos allowed), so the images will have to live in my mind. Then we found the cathedral. The walls, pillar and floor are mostly white which makes all the altars and side chapels stand out even more so. So much gold and 2 big organs! It was yet another peaceful and prayerful wander. One of my favorite ways to spend the day. To end the day we wandered through alleys filled with shops and got a so-so dinner and YUMMY gelato. Tomorrow we head to Alhambra which should be ‘plenty swell’!

The doors are THIS BIG!

Always fun to see their flowers since it’s something I enjoying doing at my church.
The best way to end any day in Europe….
