Hola!

We have safely arrived in Barcelona, Spain! After a sleepless flight with so so food and lovely economy plus seats, we landed this morning.  Customs and our luggage took quite a bit to sort out but then luck was on our side when we made it outside and the aerobus was there loading and we were able to hop on. Three stops later and a few blocks walk and we were able to check into our hotel (thanks to google maps) and our room was actually ready even though it was before noon. We got settled. Enjoyed the AC. We grabbed a bit and then we headed off to one of Gaudi’s‘s houses, Casa Batllo. We drove by the last time we were here but didn’t get to go in. Our audio guide explained the history and features.  A fun feature with the tablet was that if you scanned the room, it would show you how it looked way back when.  At the end there was a visual representation  of Gaudi and his work that was displayed through a movie on all 4 walls.  Not gonna lie, had to close my eyes a bit because it was so fast and dizzy-ing to me. Then we decided to treat ourselves to our first GELATO!  YUMMM!  Best decision of the day.  I had raspberry and dulce de leche. Then we headed to the hotel to cool off in the roof top pool- it was great since I had sweat dripping from everywhere. My sweet hankie I use to wipe it away could have been rung out.  Then we met with the rest of the group (doing a Rick Steves My way trip).  Got an orientation tour (which made me miss my trips with Art).  Then we headed down las rambles, a pedestrian walkway, to the famous market.  Got a empanada and potato crips for dinner.  It was eh…..
