Here fishy...fishy

Got to see another amazing changing of the guard. The first was in London a couple years ago.  Thousand pictures there for over half hour. Today we saw the changing of the guard in Athens. It was about 10 minutes and I have over a hundred pictures. Thank goodness for Rick Steves! Art  read in there (and knows from previous times) there's a certain place you need to be in order to watch the changing of the guards. So all the people who were close by the steps  had to go behind us when it was time because we were lined up exactly where we were supposeed to be.  That's when rudeness comes out of other people but we just smile and reply kindly that we've been waiting.  Pictures taken with my camera because it was so fast. Basically it's men in white tights  with a pleated  long jacket that goes almost to their knees. Their  Black shoes have big pom-poms. Almost horse tail like strings hanging off the top of their hat to mid chest.  They are supervised by a man in army uniform. He makes sure their feet are facing the right way , the horsetails strnigd look good etc. etc.  Changing involves kicking back, stomping, knee up high and then leg way  straight  up high,  and then dragging your feet. It is a very choreographed dance. I could not do it because a.) Im not flexible enough to kick my leg while I will remain standing on the other foot. B.) I am would never be able to remember all the kicking and stepping and stomping and stopping. It was quite a  sight to see. Highly recommend.   Then we headed to 2 museums. First museum  was an archaeological Museum. I think it may be some of the oldest  stuff I've ever seen. Lots of things from burial sites. Dated back to 1500 BC. Lots to see in there. We also went to the Acropolis museum.  The top was the best. It was fantastic. It was all windows ( so you could see the Acropolis and the Parthenon). and they re-created what the Parthenon would look like. They had  steel pillars and above it was replicas of all the carvings.   The best part of the day was when we were walking through the Plaka (shopping streets) to see new shops.  We came upon someplace we heard about on the Internet.  You put your feet in a tank of water and these fish Suck the dead skin off your feet. Well, we couldnt pass that up! At first it tickled a bit but then you got used to it. I musta had A LOT of dead skin cause they were sucking away. It only lasted 10 mins but it was fantastic. Feet felt great after. Would HIGHLY recommend!
