We finally made it! A bit exhausted after a delay leaving O'hare, long flight and full day of stuff. Not sleeping on the plane made today VERY long. After arriving very early in Manchester we headed to Leeds to the Royal Armories (https://www.royalarmouries.org/leeds). It was filled with all sorts of weapons, armor, etc. Even saw some armor for an elephant-which was something new. Then we had a picnic lunch and headed to York, our home base for the next few days. Went to a VERY COOL National Railway Museum. (http://www.nrm.org.uk) Couldn't believe it was FREE! Great trains/memorablia. 1 large room was totally dedicated to stuff that came from trains and train stations- stained glass, chandliers, plates, ticket machines, train stop signs, etc, etc. A horder's dream and a train lovers fantasy. I kept thinking-my nephews would love this! Tired feet, and jet lagged brain, so that's it for tonight!
