Let the vacation begin....

Trip got off to a great start with a quick ride to the airport (thank you Susie) and an uneventful flight.  I have to say the United 'Olympic theme' safety video was probably the most entertaining one I have ever seen.  I actually found myself chuckling (picture the seat belt section featuring a weight lifter securing his 'belt' before 'taking off' with his weights and then the 'turbulence' when he dropped his weights) Very clever :) Was so great to be reunited with my dear friend.  You know it's a true friend when you haven't seen each other in forever but can pick right up and talk for hours and it seems like you haven't been apart.  LOVE this lady. So today.....lots of catching up, good ol' Texas barbeque and a movie to end the night.  Pretty fantastic start to my vacation!
